St Andrews University Combat Triathlon is a huge success
St Andrews Fencing Club and the Scottish Saltires Modern Pentathlon Club delivered the first ever Combat Triathlon (Fence, Run/Shoot combined) at the St Andrews University Sports Centre on Sunday 24 April 2016.
The event saw nine athletes from fencing and modern pentathlon compete against each other in the fencing round in the morning, followed by a run/shoot combined event in the afternoon.
The event was organised and flawlessly delivered by St Andrews University Fencing Coach, Stan Stoodley and Scottish Saltires Modern Pentathlon Coach, Trish Prise.
All the athletes were awarded prizes at the end and thoroughly enjoyed the event.
Scotland’s Ryan Gauld competes at National Triathlon Championships
Scottish Pentathlon Development Squad athlete, Ryan Gauld competed for Millfield School at the British National Triathlon Championships in Solihull, Birmingham on Sunday 24th April.
Ryan gave a solid performance throughout and managed a final placing of 18th in his Under-17 Boys category at this National event.
Well done Ryan!
