Scottish Pentathlon Development Squad training
Scottish Pentathlon is delighted to announce that this Sunday (21st February) our Development Coach, Sam Sanderson will deliver the second Development Squad training day at Kilgraston School, Perthshire.
Athletes should arrive in time for a 9.30am start with a view to finishing at 4.00pm. During the day athletes will take part in training for swimming, running, shooting (laser) and fencing.
The first ever Scottish Development Squad session took place at Kilgraston school on Sunday 17th January 2016. As this was the first session, it provided an excellent opportunity for the squad to get to know each other as well as getting to know the new Development Coach. The main focus of the day was skill-based training carried out at low to moderate intensity.
The Development Squad training this Sunday will still be mainly skill-based, but with increased intensity.
All athletes in attendance at the initial session showed great potential and the Development Coach is looking forward to seeing how they adapt themselves to the training over next few months.
Attendance at Development Squad sessions are by invite only.
