Coach Pathway
Pentathlon GB formally launched the new national coaching framework at the Coaching Conference in Bath in February 2024.
The new Framework, developed with support from Coach UK, is an exciting development and allows coaches from across the family of sports to engage in Modern Pentathlon, utilising their current single sport qualifications while also establishing a formal set of qualification standards for Laser Run coaches.
We are grateful for all the qualified coaches working across the network with Hubs, in schools and running LR taster sessions with potential new partners, including those from the OCR community, to increase engagement and opportunities for participation in our sport.
Through the new Framework we have 2 new Level 2 coaches now formally qualified and have been working with Pentathlon GB, with support from sportscotland, to develop and in due course launch a new “Activator” course aimed at increasing capaciuty in our workforce by up-skilling volunteers at grass roots level to deliver LR sessions and events.
